Rain Harvest or Catchment Systems
Rainwater harvesting is the accumulating and storing, of rainwater. It can be used to water for livestock, water for irrigation and with some additional special equipment can be used for drinking water as well. Using what is already there your roof you can collect hundreds of gallons of water at a time. You can collect as a rule of thumb 625 gallons per every 1000 square feet of roof with 1 inch of rain.
